Northwestern Alumni Nominated for Emmy Awards

The 76th Primetime Emmy Award nominations were announced on July 17, and several Northwestern alumni were recognized for their work on television this year. The following alumni received nominations:
- Mara Brock Akil for Exceptional Merit In Documentary Filmmaking as executive producer of Stamped from the Beginning
- Jen D’Angelo for Outstanding Television Movie as producer of Quiz Lady
- Jill Footlick for Outstanding Drama Series as co-executive producer of Fallout
- Stephen Colbert for Outstanding Variety Talk Series as host of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
- The show also was nominated for Outstanding Production Design for a Variety or Reality Series, Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series, Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Series, and Outstanding Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Series.
- Greta Lee for Outstanding Supporting Actress in The Morning Show
- Sofiya Levitsky-Weitz for Outstanding Comedy Series as a writer on The Bear
- Seth Meyers for Outstanding Variety Talk Series as host of Late Night with Seth Meyers and for Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series
- The show also was nominated for Outstanding Music Direction.
- Karen Pittman for Outstanding Supporting Actress in The Morning Show
- Meredith Stacy for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (half-hour) and Animation for the Only Murders in the Building episode "Sitzprobe"
